Motosikal dan Enjin Nasional Sdn. Bhd. (MODENAS) has strengthened its role in technical education through a collaboration with SMK Pendidikan Khas Bumbong Lima, aimed at enhancing motorcycle training under Malaysia’s TVET framework.
The initiative supports around 150 students, including those with special educational needs, by introducing a structured Motorcycle Service and Maintenance module within the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) syllabus. The programme combines classroom instruction with hands-on training to reflect real industry practices.
As part of the collaboration, MODENAS has provided a Modenas CT100 motorcycle along with 17 service manuals covering models such as the Kriss 110, GT 128, Karisma 125 and Dominar 400. These resources are designed to familiarise students with actual maintenance procedures and technical standards used in the field.
MODENAS Chief Executive Officer Roslan Roskan said the effort is focused on developing practical skills and preparing students for employment. He noted that exposure to real tools and structured materials helps build discipline, technical accuracy and confidence.
The programme also supports the school’s strong academic performance, including a full pass rate in the 2025 SPM examinations. By integrating technical training with existing academic strengths, the collaboration creates a more balanced pathway for students.
Looking ahead, MODENAS aims to continue supporting similar initiatives that strengthen Malaysia’s talent pipeline, particularly in the automotive sector. The partnership highlights the importance of inclusive education in developing a skilled and work-ready workforce.
