National racing sensation Hakim Danish Ramli is poised for a landmark performance at his home Grand Prix after being confirmed to ride a top-tier, factory-spec KTM machine in the Moto3 class this October.

The Terengganu-born rider, who was awarded a wildcard entry for the Malaysian Grand Prix at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC) from 24-26 October, has been undergoing intensive preparation, including training sessions on his new machine at the circuit.

Addressing concerns from fans about the rider’s readiness, SIC Chief Executive Officer Azhan Shafriman Hanif stated unequivocally that every measure has been taken to ensure Danish is competitive on home soil.

“We gave him the best machine for this round in Sepang. Danish will be using a factory-spec KTM machine, and I hope what I’m saying will dispel all the rumours out there,” said Azhan at a press conference.

He emphasised that the circuit’s management is committed to providing “Class A” equipment to give the young rider the maximum opportunity to shine in front of his local supporters.

Azhan revealed that he has been in close contact with the rider, noting his high spirits. “Hakim Danish has already undergone several training sessions at this circuit and after speaking with him yesterday, I know he is very, very excited to race here.”

While his immediate focus is on the wildcard entry, Hakim Danish’s future looks bright. He is expected to join the Moto3 World Championship for the full season in 2025, pending the finalisation of a deal with a main sponsor for the campaign.
