As part of its continuous efforts to give back to the community, iMotorbike carried out its fifth Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative on April 29, this time focusing on animal welfare. The team visited SPCA Selangor, a respected shelter in Malaysia dedicated to the care and rehabilitation of rescued animals.

The visit was a gesture of compassion and awareness, not only to contribute items needed by the shelter but also to spend time with the animals, offering affection and interaction that’s just as vital as food and medicine. The iMotorbike team was welcomed warmly by the shelter staff, who also guided the group on a detailed tour of the facility.

Society For The Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) located at Ampang.

The shelter was impressively organised and clean, thoughtfully divided to ensure the comfort and safety of all its residents. Dogs were housed in different sections based on age groups – puppies, adolescent dogs, and adult dogs – while the felines enjoyed a spacious room with separate compartments for added comfort. Each room was well-maintained, well-ventilated, and designed with the animals’ welfare in mind.

In addition to care and rehabilitation, SPCA Selangor also supports adoption, with a structured fee system based on the breed and condition of each animal. It’s a program that encourages responsible pet ownership and offers these rescued animals a second chance at life in a loving home.

For the iMotorbike team, the experience was both eye-opening and touching. One of the team members, Hafizhan, who participated in the program, shared his reflection: “It was truly a rewarding experience. Seeing the animals cared for with such dedication made us realise the importance of support, not just financial, but emotional and social too. These animals, once abandoned or mistreated, now have a shot at a better life, and we’re happy to play even a small part in that journey.”

Another team member, Roy, also shared his enthusiasm after the visit: “The animals were very cute, and I can imagine that anyone who adopts from here would truly appreciate just how loving and affectionate these animals can be.”

With each CSR milestone, iMotorbike continues to broaden the scope of its social impact. iMotorbike’s commitment to community engagement and meaningful causes remains strong, with more initiatives lined up for the future.
