This week, custom motorcycles take the spotlight with a bold Yamaha livery, a revived Honda Grom café racer, a rare Ducati Paso up for auction, and custom Buell Super Cruisers. Let’s dive into the latest standout builds.
Yamaha XJR1300 Street Tracker by Tumulte
Fred Lagarde of Tumulte transformed the Yamaha XJR1300 into a striking flat tracker, inspired by Kenny Roberts’ speed block livery. Its bold yellow, white, and black design features King Kenny’s number one on the front and sides.
Beyond its striking looks, this build boasts a high-performance upgrade with a KTM Super Duke front end, WP forks, and Brembo brakes. Custom-crafted aluminium components, including the hand-made headlight nacelle and fender, give it a unique edge. A Motogadget speedo, Magura levers, and bar-end indicators complete the cockpit.
The pièce de résistance is the exquisite aluminium seat unit and leather saddle, which took Lagarde 60 hours to perfect. The addition of Öhlins rear shocks and Leo Vince mufflers ensures that this XJR1300 not only looks aggressive but performs like a track-ready beast.

Honda Grom Café Racer by K-Speed
K-Speed is back with a modern reimagination of their original ‘Mod Racer’ Honda Grom build. Dubbed ‘Mod Racer 2.0,’ this version takes the Grom’s playful nature and injects it with café racer styling.
The biggest change is the custom 14-inch spoked wheels, requiring a new swingarm for the rear. The original Mod Racer’s front cowl and fork shrouds stay, while a single LED projector and tiny turn signals streamline the lighting.
K-Speed’s custom tank cover, subframe, and belly pan give the bike a bold stance. Equipped with Öhlins suspension, Brembo brakes, and a tuned engine with a custom intake, open clutch, and twin shotgun exhaust, it delivers top-tier performance. The matte green paint ensures it stands out.
For Sale: 1988 Ducati Paso Limited
Once an acquired taste, the Ducati Paso has grown in appeal, and a rare 1988 Paso Limited is now up for auction at Iconic Motorbike Auctions. Released in 1986 and named after racer Renzo Pasolini, it was Ducati’s bid to rival Japanese sportbikes.
Massimo Tamburini’s full-fairing design encapsulated the 748cc L-twin engine, making it stand out from Ducati’s traditional naked trellis frame designs. While the Paso didn’t rescue Ducati’s finances, it played a role in shaping the brand’s future.
With only 50 ever made, this Paso Limited boasts a pearl white finish, red Oscam wheels, and a red vinyl seat. Enthusiasts speculate it has larger valves and ported cylinder heads, though verification is needed. It’s a rare gem for serious collectors.

Buell Super Cruiser Prototypes and Customs at Daytona
Buell makes a bold impact at the 2025 Daytona Bike Week, unveiling the final Super Cruiser prototype and four custom builds showcasing its versatility.
The Super Cruiser Bagger adds a touring vibe with an Advanblack fairing and Viking Bags panniers. The Drifter Cross Stunt Super Cruiser goes full hooligan with a Road Warrior fairing. It also comes with Dean Adams exhaust and a chopped fender.

The Hillclimb Super Cruiser mirrors the Buell 1190 with extended suspension and a stretched swingarm. The Flat Track Super Cruiser is the most aggressive, with 19-inch Dunlop tyres, a relocated radiator, and a minimalist seat.
With Indian recently discontinuing the FTR, the flat track-inspired Super Cruiser could find its niche in the market. If Buell continues this momentum, they might just carve out a strong presence in the American-made performance cruiser segment.
