The BMW R 1300 GS is already one of the most capable adventure bikes on the market, but Switzerland’s VTR Customs decided to take things up a notch by transforming it into a street-shredding “Super Moto” beast.
Based out of a massive BMW dealership in Schmerikon, the VTR team, known for their love of supermotos, gave the R 1300 GS a radical makeover while keeping its adventure DNA intact.

The bike still rolls on its stock 19-inch front wheel but now wears sticky Metzeler M9 RR tyres, a trimmed front fender, and a custom sportbike-style tail section. The handguards and mirrors were ditched for a cleaner look, replaced by sleek Motogadget bar-end mirrors and ultra-compact Kellermann Atto indicators.
Performance upgrades include an Akrapovic exhaust, while the bike’s signature BMW M livery and a custom Alcantara saddle by Swiss saddler Yves Knobel complete the aggressive aesthetic. Despite the mods, all of the R 1300 GS’s high-tech electronics remain fully functional.

Given Switzerland’s strict motorsport laws, where supermoto is one of the few legal ways to ride hard, this build makes perfect sense for the VTR crew. Whether you’re carving backroads or just turning heads at the café, this Bavarian bruiser proves that even an ADV icon can learn new tricks.
What do you think, genius transformation or sacrilege to the GS legacy? Either way, it’s hard to ignore.
