Manuel Gonzalez replaces Lorenzo Baldassarri at MotorLand

From the Supersport World Championship (WSSP) to Moto2. Manuel Gonzalez recorded his first WSSP win at Magny-Cours last weekend. And will return to the Moto2 World Championship for the second time in his career.

The youngster will compete in MotorLand Aragón with the MV Agusta Forward Racing in place of Lorenzo Baldassarri. It was clarified by the team that Baldassarri had been struggling in recent races and that he will rest before returning to Misano.

Gonzalez made his Moto2 debut this season with Forward Racing, at the world round in Assen, where he did not go beyond 22nd place.

He also expressed his gratitude on social media and wished Baldassarri the best:
