We can finally confirm KTM Malaysia will launch the KTM 390 Adventure and KTM 250 Adventure very soon for our local Malaysian market!

Folks, good news! As we speculated earlier the KTM 390 Adventure and KTM 250 Adventure will be launched in Malaysia!

Since April KTM Malaysia has been teasing us with their KTM 390 Adventure teaser posts on their social media platforms and finally the latest reports confirm that the KTM 390 Adventure, as well as the KTM 250 Adventure, will be soon launched in Malaysia.

Yes, initially we thought only the KTM 390 Adventure would get into Malaysia but apparently, the KTM 250 Adventure will be joining KTM Malaysia’s ADV lineup too!

Aside from reports, the spy shots of the KTM 390 Adventure undergoing through roadtest further clarify the claims. From the looks of it, we think the official launch is just around the corner.

KTM 390 Adventure Specifications

Speaking of the bikes, the KTM 390 Adventure is powered by a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 373.2cc single-cylinder engine. Mated to a 6-speed gearbox, the KTM 390 adventure pushes 43.5 hp @ 9,500 rpm and 35.3 Nm @ 7000 rpm. In the case of the chassis, the 390 Adventure features similar race-proven trellis frame as the KTM 450 Rally which is lightweight, agile and nimble.

Single 390mm disc with 4 piston radially mounted calliper up front and single 230mm 2 piston calliper at the rear take care of braking duties. Aside from this, the KTM 390 Adventure comes with Bosch 9.1MP Two Channel-ABS with Cornering-ABS and offroad mode. Suspension duties are taken care by 43mm WP Apex Inverted fork upfront and WP APEX shock absorber (with adjustable rebound and spring preload) at the rear. In the case of the electronics, the KTM 390 Adventure features several high-end electronics such as TFT multicolour dashboard with Bluetooth connectivity, MTC (Motorcycle traction control) and engine control assistance with ride-by-wire throttle.

KTM 250 Adventure Specifications

On the other hand, as we are still waiting on the global debut of the KTM 250 Adventure, the Austrian manufacturer hasn’t released any official specification details for the 250 Adventure. However, here are a few things we managed to pick up from recent spy shots and leaks.

To begin with, the KTM 250 Adventure would more likely feature the same chassis, fuel tank, fairings, front inverted forks and wheels as the 390 Adventure.  Aside from this, the 250 Adventure would come with last-gen Duke halogen lights and a proper TFT instrument cluster as the 390. Sources from India suggested the 250 Adventure would feature switchable ABS, however, the 250 Adventure would lack traction control and ride by wire throttle.

In the case of the engine, the KTM 250 Adventure would be powered by the same 250 Duke engine. Boasting a249cc single-cylinder engine, mated to a 6-speed gearbox the 250 Adventure would push around 30hp and 23.9 Nm of peak torque (speculated).

KTM 390 Adventure &  KTM 250 Adventure Price – Malaysia

In the case of the pricing, there aren’t any details yet. However, we speculate the price of the KTM 390 Adventure in Malaysia to be in the MYR 30,000 – 35,000 range and MYR 20,000 – 25,000 range for the KTM 250 Adventure. Want to know more?  Make sure to follow us for more updates!
