The all-new Triumph Speed Twin launched in India

The Triumph Speed Twin has finally made its way to India and has a starting price of Rs 9.46 lakh.

Triumph Motorcycles have launched its new 2019 Speed Twin in India. The new Triumph bike bears a price tag of Rs 9.46 lakh. It comes with three colour options, namely Silver Ice/Storm Grey, Korosi Red/Storm Grey and Jet Black. The new Triumph Speed Twin features a 1200cc, liquid-cooled, 8 valve, SOHC, 270 degrees, crank angle, parallel-twin, Bonneville engine. The engine developed from Triumph Thruxton R‘s motor. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox. According to sources in India Today, it comes with a new magnesium cam cover, revised clutch assembly and new mass optimised engine covers. The engine is capable of delivering 97 PS at 6,750 rpm and 112 Nm ad 4,950 rpm. In terms of the measurements, the bike stands all at 1,110mm without the mirror. Its width with the handlebars is 760mm. Its seat height is at 807mm whereas the fuel capacity is at 14.5 litres. The Speed Twin comes with an LCD multi-functional instrument pack. It also features with an analogue speedometer and tachometer. The instrument pack gives out information such as the fuel consumption, traction control, gear position and throttle mode. The Triumph Speed Twin comes with three riding modes, namely Road, Rain and Sport. It is held by 41mm cartridge forks at the front and at the rear is has twin shocks with adjustable preload.
