Triumph Thruxton R Black caught while testing

In Hinckley, Triumph is working hard to continue to update their model range, and the latest bike to be caught while testing on the road is the new Thruxton R Black, which is basically a blacked out version of the Thruxton R.

The photo, first published by MotorcycleNews, shows a bike that features a lot of blacked out components compared to the normal Thruxton. Engine covers, wheels, the Showa front fork, and brake calipers support are all painted in black, as well as the rest of the bike including the fuel tank and seat cover.

From the bike caught testing on the road, we are also able to see that Triumph changed the headlight for a full LED unit, while the exhausts seen here on the photo should be changed for the production version to match the blacked out theme of the rest of the Thruxton R Black.

Triumph hasn’t said anything regarding the engine performance, but considering this is a new version, the British manufacturer should be tempted to make some small changes to the engine.

The new Thruxton R Black will join other Triumph models that also suffered the same black treatment like the Bonneville Bobber Black, the T120 and the T100.
