Didi Group has officially introduced the all-new Triumph Trident 800 to the Malaysian market, priced at RM53,900 excluding insurance. The launch took place at LYL International Karting Circuit, Cheras, marking the arrival of a new middleweight naked roadster set to strengthen Triumph Malaysia’s presence across its authorised dealer network.

The Trident 800 is offered in three colour options: Ash Grey/Diablo Red, Carnival Red/Graphite and Jet Black. While it may look similar to the Trident 660, the new model receives comprehensive upgrades that make it significantly more powerful and aggressive in character.

At the heart of the Trident 800 is a 798cc inline three-cylinder engine, shared with the Tiger 800 but refined for roadster performance. Equipped with three throttle bodies and redesigned air ducts, the engine produces 113 horsepower at 10,750 rpm and 84 Nm of torque at 8,500 rpm.

The bike comes with a bi-directional quickshifter for clutchless upshifts and downshifts. Also, riders can tailor the performance through three riding modes: Road, Sport and Rain, allowing better control depending on conditions and riding style.

To match the stronger engine output, Triumph has upgraded the suspension package. The Trident 800 now features fully adjustable 41 mm Showa upside-down forks at the front and a rear monoshock with preload and rebound adjustment, offering improved handling precision and ride comfort.

Braking performance is handled by twin 310 mm front discs with four-piston calipers, paired with a 220 mm rear disc with a single-piston caliper. Safety is enhanced with Cornering ABS and lean-sensitive Traction Control, providing added confidence during spirited riding.

Inside the cockpit, the Trident 800 is equipped with a TFT display that supports Bluetooth smartphone connectivity. Cruise control is also included as standard equipment. The bike weighs 198 kg, carries a 14-litre fuel tank, and has a seat height of 810 mm, making it accessible to a wide range of riders.

In addition to the standard version, Triumph Malaysia is offering a premium package priced at RM56,900. The first 30 customers will receive an Akrapovic exhaust, cowl seat and bar-end mirrors.

From the 31st customer onwards, the bike will still include the Akrapovic exhaust and bar-end mirrors, while the cowl seat can be purchased under a special Purchase With Purchase (PWP) offer at RM850.

Early buyers will also receive a complimentary Genuine Triumph jacket on a first-come, first-served basis while stocks last.

With its upgraded performance, sharper chassis setup and premium add-ons, the Triumph Trident 800 positions itself as a serious contender in Malaysia’s competitive middleweight naked segment.
