Round 6 of the 2026 AMA Supercross Championship delivered one of the toughest track conditions of the season, but it was Eli Tomac who rose above the challenge, returning Red Bull KTM Factory Racing to the top step of the podium at Lumen Field.

A two-time 450SX Champion, Tomac secured his third victory of the 2026 AMA Supercross Championship season aboard the KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION, mastering the rutted and technical Seattle surface to deliver a commanding performance.

Tomac began the day by setting the second-fastest qualifying time, finishing just behind teammate Jorge Prado. In the opening 450SX Heat Race, the 33-year-old raced to a calculated third-place finish, securing a strong gate pick for the Main Event as the circuit continued to deteriorate throughout the evening.

When the gate dropped for the Main Event, Tomac launched cleanly and quickly positioned himself in second. He shadowed the leader during the early laps, studying lines and adapting to the changing track. At the halfway mark, Tomac executed a decisive pass to take control of the race. From there, he steadily extended his advantage, ultimately claiming victory by 9.265 seconds.

The win marked Tomac’s 56th career 450SX triumph and places him just one point shy of the championship lead heading into Arlington next weekend.

Tomac described Seattle as typically demanding, noting the importance of patience and line selection. He credited a strong start and improved execution in the Main Event for the breakthrough result, especially after a pair of challenging rounds in recent weeks.

Teammate Aaron Plessinger also delivered a determined performance in Seattle. After qualifying ninth overall, Plessinger secured a direct transfer to the Main Event with a third-place finish in his Heat Race. A solid start in the final saw him running inside the top five early on, before eventually crossing the line in seventh. While acknowledging areas for improvement, Plessinger highlighted the positives of strong starts and competitive early pace as momentum builds mid-season.

Meanwhile, Jorge Prado continued to impress in qualifying, posting the fastest overall time for the second consecutive week with a 50.600-second lap, nearly half a second clear of Tomac. However, an incident late in the second qualifying session forced the four-time world champion to withdraw from the night programme. After lining up for Heat 2, Prado ultimately stepped aside from Round 6 and will undergo further medical evaluation ahead of the next round.

With momentum restored and the title fight tightening, Red Bull KTM Factory Racing now turns its focus to Round 7 in Arlington, Texas, on February 21, where Tomac will aim to convert his Seattle success into championship leadership.
