ZK Racing, the official organiser of Malaysia’s grassroots rider development championship, has announced the immediate rebranding of the RCB MiniMoto Championship to the RCB MotoKidz Championship.

The move marks a strategic shift aimed at aligning the series with the broader two-wheel motorsport development structure in Malaysia and internationally. Title sponsor RCB remains fully committed to the championship, continuing its strong support in nurturing young rider talent since 2025.

Entering its second year, the RCB MotoKidz Championship will feature five rounds in the 2026 season. The series will once again serve as a support class to the FIM MotoMini Malaysia race series, which is scheduled to kick off its season in May 2026. The championship has continued to receive encouraging support from the local motorsport community.

According to ZK Racing, the name and logo change were implemented to standardise the use of the term “Moto” across the entire rider development ecosystem. The decision reflects branding consistency with other development and professional championships such as MotoMini (formerly MiniGP), the Moto4 Asia Cup (formerly Asia Talent Cup), Moto3 Junior, and the world championship classes Moto3, Moto2 and MotoGP.

The rebranding is intended to strengthen a more structured and progressive pathway for young riders, beginning from the children’s level and potentially leading all the way to world championship competition. Under its new identity, the RCB MotoKidz Championship focuses on children aged 6 to 9 years old, providing a foundational platform to identify and develop emerging talent before they progress to MotoMini and beyond.

ZK Racing emphasised that the rebranding represents more than just a change in name. It reflects a long-term vision to build a clearer, more cohesive and internationally competitive development structure for Malaysian riders.

With its refreshed identity, the RCB MotoKidz Championship is expected to continue playing a vital role in shaping the next generation of riders and strengthening Malaysia’s position within the regional and global motorsport landscape.
