AFAZ, Malaysia’s newest motorcycle brand gears up for its debut with a locally enhanced model inspired by Suzuki engineering.

Malaysia’s homegrown motorcycle brand, AFAZ, is set to make its long-awaited debut at the end of October 2025 with the launch of its first model, a 115cc motorcycle based on a Suzuki design. The announcement was confirmed by Datuk Jeffrey Lim, General Manager and Director of KMSB Motor Sdn Bhd, following the release of a teaser online.
While full details remain under wraps, Datuk Jeffrey revealed that the upcoming model will feature a 115cc engine derived from Suzuki’s kapcai platform, meaning it will use manual gears rather than a scooter-style automatic transmission.
Although the base model already exists in several overseas markets, AFAZ has invested millions of ringgit to improve and localize the design, ensuring that the motorcycle meets Malaysian regulations and caters to local rider preferences.

This first release marks the beginning of AFAZ’s journey, with the brand planning to introduce more models in 2026, including a 150cc kapcai. Interestingly, the 150cc model will use only the Suzuki engine, while other parts will be developed entirely by AFAZ, showcasing the brand’s growing independence and engineering capability.
In terms of production, AFAZ is also contributing to Malaysia’s motorcycle manufacturing ecosystem. The brand’s first model will include 40% locally sourced components, with plans to increase this to 70% next year.
AFAZ was established through a strategic collaboration with Suzuki Motor Corporation Japan, focusing on technology sharing and development support. Additionally, there are hints that Italian design influences are also part of the new model’s development, promising a blend of Japanese reliability and European styling.
While AFAZ has yet to enter the supermoped or high-performance kapcai segment, sources close to the company suggest that such a model may already be in development for future release.
As the countdown to its debut begins, excitement continues to build among Malaysian riders eager to see how AFAZ will position itself in the competitive local motorcycle scene. Stay tuned to iMotorbike for full coverage of the AFAZ 115cc launch event later this month.
