Moda Motorcycle Malaysia has expanded its maxi-scooter lineup with the launch of the 2026 Moda Sporter-S SKII Special Edition (SE). Introduced during the 2026 PETRONAS Grand Prix of Malaysia, the new variant is priced at RM18,298, excluding road tax, registration, and insurance.

The Sporter-S SKII SE commands a RM300 premium over the standard Sporter-S SKII, which was launched earlier this year, offering buyers a more distinctive appearance without changing its mechanical package. The biggest difference between the Special Edition and the standard model is its exclusive Black Cayenne paint finish.

The new colour scheme features predominantly black bodywork complemented by striking red graphics and matching red accents on the seat, giving the scooter a sportier and more premium appearance. Apart from the cosmetic enhancements, the Sporter-S SKII SE remains mechanically identical to the standard version.

Powering the Sporter-S SKII SE is the familiar 244cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder SOHC engine with four valves and electronic fuel injection.

The engine continues to produce 24.8 hp at 8,500 rpm and 22.5 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm, with power delivered through a continuously variable transmission (CVT) for smooth urban commuting and highway cruising.

Like the standard Sporter-S SKII, the Special Edition comes equipped with a generous list of premium equipment. Highlights include a 7-inch TFT touchscreen instrument display with smartphone connectivity, an electronically adjustable windscreen, and a front-facing HD riding recorder for added convenience and functionality.

The scooter also features full LED lighting, aerodynamic winglets, a multifunction handlebar switch, smart key operation, and both USB Type-A and USB Type-C charging ports.

Safety continues to be a strong selling point for the Sporter-S SKII SE. The scooter is equipped with dual-channel ABS, traction control, and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) as standard.

Suspension duties are handled by an upside-down front fork and twin rear shock absorbers with external reservoirs, while braking performance comes from twin 260 mm front disc brakes and a single 240 mm rear disc.

Moda Sporter-S SKII SE

The Sporter-S SKII SE rides on a 15-inch front wheel and a 14-inch rear wheel, with a 13-litre fuel tank and a kerb weight of 184 kg.

With its exclusive colour scheme and sporty detailing, the 2026 Moda Sporter-S SKII SE offers buyers a more distinctive version of the company’s flagship maxi-scooter while retaining the same performance, technology, and rider aids found on the standard model.

The introduction of the Special Edition gives riders another option in the increasingly competitive 250cc maxi-scooter segment, combining bold styling with a comprehensive list of modern features.
