Tech3 has officially unveiled its rider line-up for the 2027 FIM Moto3 World Championship, confirming the signing of Adrián Fernández and Kristian Daniel Jr. The pairing brings together an experienced Moto3 race winner and one of the brightest young prospects from the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup as the team aims to challenge at the front of the championship next season.
The announcement sees Fernández return to Tech3 after previously racing for the French outfit in 2022, while Kristian Daniel Jr. will make history as he prepares for his first full-time campaign in Grand Prix motorcycle racing.
Madrid-born Adrián Fernández heads back to Tech3 with a wealth of experience, having already made more than 100 Grand Prix starts in the lightweight category.
Since joining Leopard Racing in 2023, the 22-year-old Spaniard has steadily established himself as one of Moto3’s consistent front-runners. He secured his maiden Moto3 podium in 2024 before finishing seventh overall in the 2025 championship standings.
To date, Fernández has collected one Moto3 victory, seven podium finishes, and three pole positions, making him one of the most experienced riders on the 2027 Moto3 grid.
With greater maturity and several seasons of fighting at the front, Fernández returns to Tech3 determined to compete for the Moto3 World Championship.
Joining Fernández is 17-year-old Kristian Daniel Jr., who graduates to the Moto3 World Championship after impressing in the Road to MotoGP development programme.
Born in Los Angeles and now based in Barcelona, the American youngster enjoyed a breakthrough 2026 season in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup, finishing fourth overall.
One of his standout moments came during the season finale at the Red Bull Ring, where he secured his first pole position in the highly competitive junior series.
His promotion to Tech3 also marks a significant milestone, as he is set to become the first American rider to contest a full Moto3 World Championship season in recent years.
Tech3 Team Manager Nicolas Goyon believes the combination of experience and youth gives the team a strong foundation heading into the new season.
He expressed his excitement about welcoming Fernández back to the team, noting how much the Spaniard has developed since their previous partnership in 2022.
According to Goyon, Fernández now possesses the experience and racecraft needed to consistently fight at the front and challenge for the Moto3 title aboard a competitive KTM machine.
He also praised Kristian Daniel Jr.’s determination, highlighting the sacrifices the young American has made after leaving California to pursue his racing career in Europe. Goyon believes the teenager’s work ethic and commitment make him an exciting addition to the Tech3 project.
Fernández described his return to Tech3 as a special moment in his career. Having already worked with the team earlier in his Moto3 journey, he believes he now returns as a more experienced and complete rider.
The Spaniard made it clear that his objective for 2027 is to fight for the Moto3 World Championship, acknowledging that the season will be long and demanding but expressing confidence that both he and the team have the motivation and potential to compete for the title.
He also said he is eager to reunite with the squad and begin preparations for the new campaign. Kristian Daniel Jr. said earning a place with Tech3 represents a major milestone in his racing career.
The American admitted he is extremely grateful for the opportunity and believes joining one of Moto3’s established teams is the reward for years of hard work and dedication.
Although he knows adapting to full-time Grand Prix competition will not be easy, Daniel Jr. is confident that both he and the Tech3 team share the same ambition and will work together to achieve strong results throughout the 2027 season.
By combining the proven race-winning experience of Adrián Fernández with the youthful potential of Kristian Daniel Jr., Tech3 has assembled a balanced Moto3 line-up for 2027.
With Fernández targeting the championship and Daniel Jr. beginning his Grand Prix career, the French squad will be hoping both riders can help deliver a successful season as Moto3 continues to showcase the next generation of motorcycle racing talent.
