BMW Motorrad has officially unveiled the all-new BMW F 450 RR, introducing a new entry-level supersport model designed for riders seeking performance, everyday usability, and accessible power. The fully faired motorcycle becomes the latest addition to BMW’s renowned RR lineup, replacing the outgoing G 310 RR while sharing its engine platform with the recently introduced F 450 GS.
The F 450 RR has been developed to appeal to A2 licence holders and new sportbike enthusiasts, while also offering the styling and technology expected from BMW’s high-performance motorcycles.

Inspired by the BMW S 1000 RR
Visually, the F 450 RR draws strong inspiration from BMW’s flagship S 1000 RR superbike. The motorcycle features sharp aerodynamic bodywork, an aggressive front fairing, integrated winglets, and a compact tail section that gives it a genuine race-bike appearance.
Despite its smaller engine capacity, BMW has ensured the F 450 RR carries the same sporting DNA as its larger siblings, making it the new gateway into the RR family.

Shared 420cc Parallel-Twin Engine
Power comes from a 420cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine, the same platform used in the BMW F 450 GS. The engine produces 48 hp and 43 Nm of torque, which allows the motorcycle to comply with Europe’s A2 license regulations. It is paired with a six-speed gearbox
BMW has also tuned the motorcycle to deliver sporty handling without compromising rider confidence, making it suitable for both newcomers and experienced riders looking for a lightweight supersport machine.

Lightweight Chassis and Modern Technology
The F 450 RR features a lightweight chassis and a ready-to-ride weight of approximately 177 kg, helping improve agility and responsiveness. Suspension duties are handled by a 43 mm upside-down front fork and a rear monoshock, while 17-inch wheels complete the sporty package.
Technology is another highlight, with the motorcycle equipped with a 6.5-inch TFT display, smartphone connectivity, LED lighting, multiple riding modes, traction control, and Cornering ABS. Depending on the market and variant, buyers can also opt for BMW’s Easy Ride Clutch, which simplifies pulling away and low-speed riding by reducing clutch effort.

Positioned as BMW’s New Entry-Level Sportbike
The F 450 RR is expected to replace the G 310 RR as BMW Motorrad’s smallest fully faired sportbike, creating a more modern and performance-oriented option within the brand’s global lineup. It also expands BMW’s growing 450cc family alongside the F 450 GS adventure bike and F 450 R naked motorcycle.
By combining premium styling, accessible performance, and advanced rider aids, BMW aims to attract a new generation of riders looking to step into the supersport segment without moving to higher-displacement motorcycles.

Availability Yet to Be Confirmed
BMW Motorrad has revealed the motorcycle globally but has yet to announce market-specific pricing or launch dates. More details regarding regional availability are expected closer to the model’s commercial launch.
