Ducati has unveiled its updated 2027 Panigale V4 and V4 S, introducing improvements to engine performance, chassis dynamics, aerodynamics and electronic systems to enhance control and speed on the racetrack.
Although the latest models retain much of the previous generation’s styling, Ducati has revised several key components, including the front winglets, engine systems and chassis. The updates are aimed at helping riders achieve faster lap times while maintaining greater control under demanding track conditions.
Both the Panigale V4 and V4 S are powered by Ducati’s 1,103cc Desmosedici Stradale 90-degree V4 engine, derived from the company’s MotoGP experience. For 2027, revisions to the intake, exhaust and lubrication systems increase the claimed output to 218 hp at 13,500 rpm, up by 2 hp from the previous model. Maximum torque stands at 89 lb-ft at 11,000 rpm.
The front air intake has also been enlarged, increasing air pressure by 0.6% at 300 km/h. Meanwhile, adjustments to the lubrication circuit are designed to reduce power losses.

Riders looking for additional performance can opt for a new Akrapovič Full Racing Exhaust PRO upgrade. With the system fitted, Ducati claims the engine can produce up to 229 hp and 94.1 lb-ft of torque.
Ducati has also increased the rev limit in second through fifth gears from 14,500 rpm to 15,000 rpm. The final drive ratio has been changed from 16/41 to 17/42, allowing riders to remain in the optimal gear for longer.
According to Ducati’s internal testing at the Vallelunga Circuit in Italy, the revised setup reduced the number of gear changes required by two per lap. The 2027 Panigale V4 retains the overall appearance of its predecessor, with the most noticeable visual change coming from its redesigned winglets.
The new aerodynamic elements adopt a biplane configuration with larger side endplates. Ducati has otherwise kept the bodywork largely unchanged.

Underneath, the front frame has been modified to reduce lateral stiffness by 12%. The adjustment is intended to improve tyre grip at high lean angles, helping riders maintain tighter lines, achieve higher cornering speeds and receive more precise feedback from the front end.
To enhance agility, the wheelbase has been tightened by 0.3 inches. In terms of dry weight, the V4S gains a clear advantage, tipping the scales at a lean 187 kg compared to the standard V4’s 191 kg. For the Panigale V4 S, Ducati has introduced adjustable clip-on handlebars positioned 0.4 inches higher than before.
The change draws on the company’s MotoGP experience and is intended to give riders better leverage, improve control and reduce physical effort during direction changes and heavy braking.
Ducati claims that the updated Panigale V4 achieved an average lap-time improvement of 0.4 seconds at Vallelunga compared with the previous model.
Several of the developments were also tested by Ducati’s factory riders during the Race of Champions at World Ducati Week. Newly crowned World Superbike Champion Nicolò Bulega improved his pole-position record by 0.7 seconds.

The 2027 models also receive two new electronic features: Dynamic Engine Brake and Race Brake Control. Dynamic Engine Brake replaces the previous Engine Brake Control system. It adjusts engine braking according to the load on the rear tyre, with the aim of making corner entry more predictable and stable, particularly when braking while leaned over.
The system works alongside Race Brake Control, which increases the rear wheel’s contribution to deceleration. Together, the systems are designed to give riders greater control when slowing down and entering corners on the racetrack. The suspension and braking hardware remain largely unchanged.
The standard Panigale V4 continues to use a fully adjustable 43mm Showa Big Piston Fork and Sachs rear monoshock. The V4 S, meanwhile, comes with an Öhlins NPX-30 fork and TTX36 shock, managed by the Smart EC 3.0 electronic suspension system. Both models continue to use Brembo Hypure monobloc brake calipers.
The 2027 Panigale V4 S will also be included in Ducati’s Factory Made programme, offering customers more options to personalise their motorcycles. Buyers can choose from 11 colour schemes, including Ducati Corse and Performance liveries. Five of the available colours are sourced directly from the Automobili Lamborghini Ad Personam catalogue.

The programme also allows customers to select factory-installed upgrades, including homologated accessories fitted during production. Available options include Front Brake PRO and PRO+ packages, an STM dry clutch and adjustable footpegs.
These additions give buyers more flexibility to configure the Panigale V4 S according to their preferred appearance and track-focused setup.
The new 2027 Ducati Panigale V4 and Panigale V4 S are scheduled to arrive at European dealerships from March 2027, followed by North American dealerships from April 2027.
Distribution to other international markets will follow thereafter. Pricing and availability for Malaysia have not yet been confirmed.
