The CFMOTO MT Challenge 2026 is set to reach its biggest milestone as finalists from nearly 20 countries and regions gather in Huelva, Spain, for the Global Final from September 26 to 28. Following months of qualifying events around the world, riders will compete in two days of technical riding, endurance challenges, and teamwork aboard the flagship CFMOTO 1000MT-X adventure motorcycle.

After a successful debut in 2025, the event has quickly become one of CFMOTO’s signature global adventure riding programmes, bringing together motorcyclists who share a passion for exploration rather than simply chasing podium finishes.

A Global Adventure Challenge Returns

The CFMOTO MT Challenge was first introduced in 2025 to celebrate adventure riding and unite CFMOTO enthusiasts worldwide. Instead of focusing solely on identifying the fastest or most skilled rider, the competition was created to encourage riders to challenge themselves while building friendships and enjoying the spirit of adventure motorcycling.

The inaugural Global Final took place in Melbourne, Australia, where more than 70 riders representing nearly 20 countries and regions competed over two action-packed days. The event combined riding skills, endurance tests, and team-based challenges, creating memorable experiences both on and off the motorcycle.

Building on that success, CFMOTO expanded the programme for 2026, with qualifying rounds attracting even greater participation across multiple continents.

Qualifying Events Around the World

This year’s qualifiers featured a wide variety of challenges designed to test riders under different conditions. In the Philippines, competitors tackled a demanding two-day event featuring a technical course with 45 obstacles, alongside challenging off-road sections. The event was also livestreamed, allowing fans to follow the action online.

El Salvador introduced a more creative format by including unique activities, even adding a rowing challenge as part of the competition. Meanwhile, Guatemala organised multiple elimination rounds before hosting a national final to determine its representatives for Spain.

European qualifiers were equally diverse. Romania offered four stages across different types of terrain, testing riders in varying conditions and time-based challenges. Poland saw nearly 30 participants battle the summer heat in an endurance-focused qualifier, while Spain hosted its own national selection alongside preparations for the upcoming Global Final.

The MT Challenge also continued to expand into other regions, with participation stretching from the West Balkans to a large-scale event in Colombia.

Spain Hosts the 2026 Global Final

All qualifying roads now lead to Huelva, Spain, where the CFMOTO MT Challenge 2026 Global Final will take place. Finalists from around the world will compete using the CFMOTO 1000MT-X, ensuring every rider faces the same machinery throughout the competition. While each team represents its own nation, every participant will rely on identical motorcycles to showcase their riding ability and teamwork.

The first day of competition will be held at the Monteblanco Circuit off-road facility during the Venue Challenge. Riders will complete ten separate tests that evaluate riding technique, balance, precision, control, and speed across a variety of obstacles.

The second day shifts to the Adventure Challenge, where competitors will navigate approximately 200 kilometres through southern Spain. Along the route, riders will pass various checkpoints while testing their navigation skills, endurance, and time management, all while experiencing the scenic landscapes surrounding Huelva.

CFMOTO 1000MT-X Takes Centre Stage

Every finalist will compete aboard the CFMOTO 1000MT-X, the company’s flagship adventure touring motorcycle. Designed for both long-distance touring and demanding off-road terrain, the 1000MT-X combines lightweight construction with strong torque delivery and a broad powerband.

The motorcycle is also equipped with fully adjustable KYB suspension, advanced electronic rider aids, protective adventure-focused components, and a large 22.5-litre fuel tank to support extended riding adventures. These features make it a fitting choice for a competition that combines technical riding with long-distance exploration.
