Ducati has added another landmark achievement to its racing legacy after securing a record-breaking 22nd FIM Superbike World Championship (WorldSBK) Manufacturers’ title at Donington Park. The latest triumph also marks the fifth consecutive Manufacturers’ championship for the Ducati Panigale V4 R, reinforcing its status as one of the most successful superbikes in WorldSBK history.

The achievement comes during a special year for the Italian manufacturer as Ducati celebrates its 100th anniversary, making the title an even more fitting tribute to a century of engineering innovation and racing success.

Panigale V4 R continues its winning legacy

Since making its WorldSBK debut, the Panigale V4 R has consistently delivered championship-winning performances. The 2026 Manufacturers’ title further highlights Ducati’s commitment to continuous development, combining cutting-edge technology with race-proven performance.

The latest championship extends Ducati’s dominance in the series, with the Panigale V4 R now responsible for five straight Manufacturers’ titles from 2022 to 2026.

Strong performances power Ducati to another championship

Ducati’s title-winning campaign was driven by the impressive performances of Nicolò Bulega and Iker Lecuona, who consistently delivered results throughout the season for Team Aruba.it Racing – Ducati.

Together, the pair collected 24 race victories and 44 podium finishes, providing the points needed to secure the Manufacturers’ championship before the season concluded.

The celebrations continued at Donington Park as Team Aruba.it Racing – Ducati also mathematically secured the 2026 WorldSBK Teams’ Championship following the Superpole Race. It marks the team’s fifth Teams’ title and its fifth consecutive championship in the category.

Ducati’s WorldSBK record grows even stronger

The latest success further cements Ducati’s place as the most decorated manufacturer in WorldSBK history. Since winning its first Manufacturers’ title with the Ducati 888 in 1991, the Italian brand has remained a dominant force across multiple generations of superbikes.

Ducati’s current WorldSBK achievements include:

  • 22 Manufacturers’ titles
  • 16 Riders’ Championships
  • 473 race victories
  • 1,258 podium finishes

The Panigale V4 R has now joined legendary Ducati models such as the 888, 916, 996, 998, 999, and 1098 as championship-winning machines that have shaped the brand’s racing legacy.

Ducati Corse celebrates another historic achievement

Luigi Dall’Igna, General Manager of Ducati Corse, praised everyone involved in the project following the championship-winning campaign.

“We are extremely proud to have secured another Manufacturers’ title in the WorldSBK Championship,” said Dall’Igna. “This achievement reflects the outstanding work carried out by Ducati Corse together with all our teams and riders.”

He also highlighted the Panigale V4 R’s combination of performance, reliability, and competitiveness, while recognising the remarkable consistency shown by Nicolò Bulega and Iker Lecuona throughout the season.

Dall’Igna extended his appreciation to Team Aruba.it Racing – Ducati Sporting Director Stefano Cecconi, Technical Coordinator Marco Zambenedetti, and every member of the Ducati project whose dedication has helped deliver five consecutive Manufacturers’ titles.

A fitting celebration during Ducati’s centenary

Winning a record 22nd WorldSBK Manufacturers’ title during its centenary year adds another memorable chapter to Ducati’s racing history. With the Panigale V4 R continuing to set the benchmark in production-based racing, the Italian manufacturer remains firmly focused on extending its success in future WorldSBK seasons.
