Aprilia Dominates Again with RS 660 Victory in British Superbike Championship

Aprilia continued its impressive run in the 2026 British Superbike Championship by delivering another standout performance at Brands Hatch, where the Aprilia RS 660 claimed victory in Round 5 of the Pirelli Sportbike category. Harrison Mackay led the charge with a commanding win, while fellow Aprilia riders Alfie Davidson and Harley McCabe also secured strong finishes to reinforce the manufacturer’s presence at the front of the field.

Representing the Armada SC31 Racing Team, Mackay carried his strong momentum from the previous round at Snetterton into Brands Hatch. After showing impressive pace throughout the free practice sessions, he qualified on the front row before converting that speed into a dominant race victory. Mackay crossed the finish line almost five seconds clear of his nearest rival, underlining the competitiveness of the Aprilia RS 660 in the production-based championship.

Double podium success for Aprilia RS 660

Aprilia celebrated even more success as Alfie Davidson of the INCompetition Aprilia team secured third place after a closely contested battle for the podium. The result marked another important finish for the young rider and ensured that two Aprilia RS 660 machines stood on the podium at Brands Hatch.

Meanwhile, Harley McCabe, riding for Fibre Tec Aprilia-By Mlav Racing, completed another consistent outing by finishing fifth. His result meant that three Aprilia RS 660 motorcycles finished inside the top five, highlighting the bike’s strength and consistency across multiple teams.

Davidson extends championship lead

Following Round 5, Davidson remains at the top of the Pirelli Sportbike Championship standings with 172 points. His podium finish allows him to extend his lead to 24 points over fellow Aprilia rider McCabe, further strengthening Aprilia’s position in the title race.

With another race victory, two podium finishes, and three riders inside the top five, Aprilia continues to demonstrate the RS 660’s winning potential in one of Britain’s most competitive production motorcycle championships.
