In the naked bike segment around 400–500cc, the Kove 450R and CFMOTO 450NK are two eye-catching options in Malaysia. Both models are in the same engine capacity range, but their design approach and riding character is very different.

The Kove 450R stands out as a high-performance naked bike with a four-cylinder engine that is rare in its class, while the CFMOTO 450NK focuses more on the balance between power, technology and comfort for everyday use. This article will compare the two models in terms of engine & performance, features & technology, ergonomics & comfort, and who is best suited to each bike.

Kove 450R vs CFMOTO 450NK

Engine & Performance

Kove 450R

The Kove 450R is powered by a 443cc inline-four engine that produces around 65 hp and 40 Nm of torque, which is exceptional for the 450cc category. The four-cylinder engine delivers a rev-happy character with strong high-end power, providing a sporty and aggressive riding experience especially when accelerating and cornering. Its weight of around 164 kg also helps make the 450R more agile and responsive.

CFMOTO 450NK

On the other hand, the CFMOTO 450NK uses a 449cc parallel-twin 270° crankshaft engine with a power of around 50 hp and 39 Nm of torque. The power is lower than the 450R, but it provides a more linear and easy-to-control torque character, suitable for daily use in the city and on the highway. Parallel-twin engines are also generally more fuel efficient and easier to control at low speeds.

Features & Technology

Kove 450R

In terms of technology, although the main focus of the Kove 450R is performance, it still offers important features such as slipper clutch, ABS, and Traction Control, as well as advanced technologies such as Riding Modes, a TFT screen with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, and even launch control. Although Kove wants to go for a “pure riding experience” approach with aggressive power, but at the same time it provides features and technologies that make this motorcycle more attractive.

CFMOTO 450NK

The CFMOTO 450NK comes with a complete range of modern features for its class, including a TFT display, ABS system, traction control and slipper clutch, all of which provide additional support to the rider, especially during daily rides or when the weather is unpredictable. The frame and suspension are also designed to provide a balance between comfort and performance.

Ergonomics & Riding Comfort

Kove 450R

The Kove 450R offers a slightly sportier riding position, with footpegs and handlebars to make the rider feel more “connected” to the road. This is perfect for riders who like an aggressive and dynamic riding style, especially on twisty roads or weekend rides. However, this position is not ideal for long journeys as it puts more pressure on the wrists.

CFMOTO 450NK

The CFMOTO 450NK, on the other hand, offers a more upright and relaxed seating position. This makes it more comfortable for daily commuting, especially in slow city traffic. Its ergonomic suspension and setup also help to reduce fatigue when riding long distances or when cutting through traffic.

  • Riders who want high performance and an aggressive character in the 450cc class
  • Those who like rev-happy engines and sporty acceleration
  • Riders who often ride around corners or ride weekends
  • Those who want a more thrilling “naked bike” experience

CFMOTO 450NK is suitable for:

  • New to intermediate riders who want an easy-to-control motorbike
  • Those who appreciate modern technology such as TFT and electronic controls

Kove 450R vs CFMOTO 450NK

Conclusion

The Kove 450R and CFMOTO 450NK each offer unique approaches to the 450cc naked segment. The Kove 450R stands out as a more performance-oriented and sporty option with a powerful four-cylinder engine, while the CFMOTO 450NK stands out as a balanced option suitable for everyday use.

The best choice depends on your riding style and preferences. If you want the sensation of acceleration and an aggressive character, the Kove 450R is the right choice. But if you want a more versatile, comfortable, modern motorcycle, and more suitable for daily use, the CFMOTO 450NK is a safer choice.
