Zontes Malaysia successfully organised its first International Zontes Mega Gathering, bringing together more than 100 riders from three countries in a landmark regional riding event.

Held from 22 to 25 January 2026, the four-day, three-night programme united Zontes owners from Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand, all connected by a shared passion for motorcycles, travel and community spirit.

The event kicked off on 22 January when 85 Zontes riders from Malaysia and Singapore began a historic cross-border journey from Jitra, Kedah to Phuket, Thailand, a total distance of 497 km. The long-distance ride marked a first-of-its-kind regional convoy for the brand’s owners. The following day, the group was joined by 25 riders from Thailand, forming a multinational convoy rarely seen in regional owner gatherings.

In collaboration with Zontes Phuket, the joint ride on 23 January began from the Zontes Experience Centre by Lifestyle Auto, officially marking the first time Zontes owners from three nations rode together in one organised convoy.

Escorted by Thai police, riders first cruised through the vibrant streets of Phuket Old Town before continuing a specially planned “Z-nique” island tour. Routes included steep hill climbs, narrow town lanes and slippery coastal beach roads, allowing participants to test their bikes’ handling, balance and versatility in varied real-world conditions. The ride highlighted the adaptability of Zontes motorcycles across different terrains, from urban streets to scenic coastal stretches.

According to Goi Seong Keng, Marketing Manager of Eurotech Wheel Distribution Sdn. Bhd., the event carried deeper meaning. “The Zontes Mega Gathering was more than an international event. It was a significant regional milestone that reflects the brand’s long-term vision of ‘one brand, one community’. We chose Phuket to give owners a different riding and cultural experience while fostering unity among riders from three countries,” he said.

The international edition builds on the momentum of the first Zontes Mega Gathering held in Kuala Lumpur in 2024. Realising many riders outside the Klang Valley could not participate, Zontes Malaysia expanded the programme in 2025 into four regional gatherings (Central, Southern, East Coast and Northern) each with its own theme celebrating different rider lifestyles.

Strong nationwide participation encouraged the brand to take the concept beyond Malaysia’s borders, with Phuket selected as the first international destination. This move not only elevated the Zontes owner experience but also strengthened regional bonds, turning a motorcycle brand community into a cross-border riding family.
