The Ministry of Finance (MoF) has announced Malaysia’s retail fuel prices for the week of 26 February to 4 March 2026, with RON97 and diesel recording a 5 sen increase, while subsidised RON95 remains unchanged.

Under the BUDI MADANI RON95 (BUDI95) subsidy programme, the price of subsidised RON95 for Malaysian motorists stays fixed at RM1.99 per litre.

However, the price of unsubsidised RON95 (for non-Malaysians) has increased by 5 sen to RM2.59 per litre, in accordance with the Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM) formula.

Premium RON97 also sees a 5 sen hike, with the new retail price set at RM3.15 per litre.

Diesel Prices

In Peninsular Malaysia, diesel prices rise by 5 sen:

  • RM3.04 per litre (Euro 5 B10/B20)
  • RM3.24 per litre (Euro 5 B7)

Meanwhile, diesel prices in East Malaysia remain unchanged:

  • RM2.15 per litre (Euro 5 B10/B20)
  • RM2.35 per litre (Euro 5 B7)

Government Monitoring Global Trends

According to the Finance Ministry, the government will continue reviewing and adjusting the retail prices of RON97, RON95 and diesel in line with developments in the global oil market, while maintaining price stability as a key priority.

As reported by Bernama, the Ministry stated that it will “continue to closely monitor global crude oil price trends and take appropriate measures to ensure the welfare and well-being of the people are safeguarded.”

The latest fuel prices take effect from 26 February 2026 and will remain in place until the next announcement scheduled for 4 March 2026.
