The 2025 season of the España Superbike Championship (ESBK) will come to an exciting end this weekend at the famous Circuito de Jerez – Ángel Nieto. Malaysian rider Qabil Irfan is ready for action after winning the overall ESBK Talent category title in the previous round at Estoril Circuit, Portugal.

The Jerez Circuit is one of Qabil’s favourite tracks. It features eight right-hand turns, five left-hand turns, and a 607-metre straight. The layout is both technical and fast, which matches Qabil’s smooth riding style. Because of that, he is confident of a strong performance this weekend.

There will be two races at Jerez, one on Saturday and another on Sunday. Although Qabil has already secured the championship, he is not slowing down. He wants to finish the season with another podium result.

“Even though I have secured the overall championship, it doesn’t mean I will give up the chance for the podium this weekend. I will strive to finish both races with the best possible results for my team,” said Qabil Irfan.

After the ESBK finale, Qabil will travel to Valencia to represent the FIM MiniGP Malaysia team at the FIM MiniGP World Final next week. It will be another big step in his growing international racing career.

Team Manager Zulfahmi Khairuddin believes Qabil will keep his focus until the very end. “We know Qabil has already won the championship at the previous round. However, this is the final round of ESBK, and the goal remains the same, to race for the win. I am confident Qabil is highly motivated for Jerez this week and will give his best. This race is expected to be less stressful than the previous one, and I am sure Qabil will give it his all,” he said.

As the 2025 ESBK season comes to a close, all eyes are on Qabil Irfan. He aims to complete his ESBK 2025 Jerez campaign with another strong finish before taking on the world stage in Valencia.
