The buzz surrounding SUPER73’s next big release had been growing for weeks and now, the wait is over. The brand officially introduced the SUPER73 MZFT at the Moto Beach Classic in Orange County, California. Its all-new electric two-wheeler has ignited both excitement and curiosity across the e-bike community.

A New Look for a New Generation

The MZFT marks a notable evolution for SUPER73. It features a completely redesigned frame with sharper lines and a more compact profile. Riders immediately noticed fresh design cues. This includes a flip-up seat concealing a storage compartment, multiple battery configurations, and chunky dual-sport tyres reminiscent of the brand’s off-road DNA.

While the company’s signature style is still unmistakable, think moto-inspired stance and minimalist build, the MZFT looks like it’s aimed at a younger, urban audience. This is in contrast to the heavy-duty adventurers who ride the brand’s larger models like the RX or R Adventure.

Compact Form, Big Questions

SUPER73 has kept key specifications under wraps. It revealed only that the MZFT is classified as a Class 2 e-bike, meaning it includes a throttle and a top speed capped at 20 mph (32 km/h). Beyond that, details like motor wattage, range, and weight remain undisclosed, leaving fans and reviewers eager for more.

From photos and early sightings, the MZFT appears smaller and lighter than previous SUPER73s. It is perhaps designed for teen or youth riders just entering the e-bike scene. The proportionally compact build and lower seat height suggest it could serve as a bridge between bicycles and full-sized e-motos.

Targeting the Next Wave of Riders

The move could be strategic. Across the United States, teen e-bike culture has exploded, with young riders forming groups that cruise city streets and boardwalks. SUPER73 seems poised to tap into that demographic, offering a machine that’s fun, accessible, and street-legal, without crossing into the unregulated territory of high-powered electric dirt bikes.

If that’s the case, the MZFT could give younger riders a stylish, compliant alternative to models like the Sur Ron Light Bee or Talaria Sting, which often draw scrutiny for exceeding speed limits or lacking safety certification.

Staying True to the Brand’s Ethos

In recent years, SUPER73 has worked to balance performance with responsibility, introducing updates that ensure compliance with e-bike regulations and improve user safety. The MZFT seems to continue that philosophy, merging the brand’s trademark retro-moto aesthetic with a more controlled, community-friendly approach to urban riding.

What’s Next for the MZFT

While concrete performance specs remain a mystery, the timeline isn’t far off: SUPER73 plans to release the MZFT in retail stores on November 8th, with online availability starting November 10th. Until then, speculation will continue to swirl but one thing’s certain: this bike signals a new era for SUPER73, one that may redefine how the next generation experiences electric mobility.
