The GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team is ready for the final round of the 2025 FIM Superbike World Championship. The event takes place this weekend from 17th to 19th October at the Circuito de Jerez–Ángel Nieto in Spain.
After missing the Estoril Round due to injury, Dominique Aegerter hopes to return to action in Jerez. The Swiss rider fractured a bone in his right hand before the last round but has since undergone successful surgery. He will take a medical test on Thursday to confirm if he is fit to race.
If Aegerter cannot compete, Alessandro Delbianco will step in. The Italian rider recently won the 2025 Italian Superbike Championship with DMR Racing Yamaha. He also knows the GYTR GRT Yamaha team well. In 2024, Delbianco replaced Aegerter in France and Remy Gardner in Jerez, earning a best finish of 10th at Magny-Cours.

On the other side of the garage, Remy Gardner wants to finish the season strongly after a positive weekend in Estoril. The Australian rider has always performed well at Jerez. Both Gardner and the team feel confident of ending the season with another solid result.
The Terra&Vita GRT Yamaha WorldWCR Team will also join the WorldSBK effort this weekend. They will compete in the final round of the FIM Women’s Circuit Racing World Championship and aim to close their year on a high.
Free Practice and Superpole qualifying will run on Friday, followed by Race 1 on Saturday at 14:00 (CEST). The Superpole Race and Race 2 will take place on Sunday at 11:00 and 14:00, respectively.
Rider Quotes

Remy Gardner:
“First of all, I really hope to see Domi back in Jerez! We’re looking forward to the final round at a track where we’ve been strong in the past. Unfortunately, I couldn’t race here last year due to injury, but in 2023 we were close to the podium and consistently fast. I’m confident we can enjoy a strong season finale, especially after the positive weekend we had in Estoril.”

Dominique Aegerter:
“My hand is improving day by day. I’m looking forward to hopefully finishing the season together with the team. It would be my last race with them, and I really want to be on track. I know it won’t be easy, but I’ll give it everything I have to end the year on a high. Jerez brings back great memories—it’s where I took my first WorldSBK podium with the team—so I know we can be competitive.”
