Aprilia Racing is shifting gears from Europe to Asia as the MotoGP paddock lands in Motegi for the Grand Prix of Japan. Fresh from a strong weekend in Misano, Marco Bezzecchi and Jorge Martín are aiming to continue their momentum aboard the RS-GP25.

Bezzecchi on a Roll

Bezzecchi arrives in Japan riding high after a stellar performance at Misano, where he secured pole position, sprint race victory, and second in the main race. That marked his ninth podium of the season, underlining the growing synergy between the Italian rider and the RS-GP25.

“I’m extremely pleased to be going to Japan,” said Bezzecchi. “I like this track and the Japanese culture, especially the fans who are always highly supportive. We’ll strive to work well, as we have up to now, and to give it our all.”

Martín Focused on Progress

Teammate Jorge Martín is also looking forward to Motegi, especially after a promising post-race test in Misano where Aprilia worked on ergonomics and setup improvements.

“The test in Misano was extremely positive,” Martín explained. “We did a lot of testing and took a nice step forward. Up to now it has been a path of adaptation – almost a pre-season – but from here on out, I’d like to focus on speed and performance. The Misano race allowed me to get close to where I want to be, although there is still a lot of work to do. We need to continue to improve and that will be our obsession throughout the rest of the season.”

Motegi: A Brake-Test Circuit

The Mobility Resort Motegi, formerly Twin Ring Motegi, is a 4.8 km track featuring 8 right-handers, 6 left-handers, and long straights punctuated by tight corners. Known as a “stop-and-go” circuit, Motegi places heavy demands on braking stability, making setup and rider confidence critical for success.

Eyes on Japan

With Bezzecchi eager to extend his podium streak and Martín aiming to unlock more speed from his RS-GP25, Aprilia Racing heads into Japan determined to be among the frontrunners once again.
