Malaysia’s own Hakim Danish is set to headline the fourth round of the prestigious Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup, hosted at Italy’s legendary Mugello circuit this weekend. At 5.2 km with nine right curves, six left, and a long 1.14 km straight, it offers a perfect stage for tight groups and slipstream battles

Currently leading the championship with a 30-point cushion over Spaniard Brian Uriarte, Hakim is pumped for the challenge. “I really like this track because of its long straight which offers good opportunities for slipstreaming. I expect the front group to be large, with many riders fighting at the front. In terms of preparation, I’ve done moto training in Spain as well as physical training, I feel ready for this circuit. As for the championship, I hope to stay consistent. Please keep me in your prayers for a good race this week,” he shared ahead of the grid.

Fans can catch Race 1 on Saturday and Race 2 on Sunday, streaming on Red Bull TV and the Rookies Cup Facebook page.

At the same time, young talent Qabil Irfan will aim to extend his strong form at the ESBK Round 2 in Barcelona. Having crushed Round 1 in Jerez with a stunning double win, Qabil now leads the Talent Cup by 10 points

The 4.66 km Catalunya track, with its long straight and a mix of fast/right turns, is one where Qabil has shone before. “Last week I trained… I feel confident… hope to maintain the momentum,” he said

Race action will be livestreamed on RFME’s YouTube channel this Sunday.

Hakim Danish is aiming to convert his championship lead into victories on one of the Rookies Cup’s toughest layouts. His strong qualifying and steady race craft make him a genuine title contender.

Qabil Irfan, fresh off dominating Jerez, is hunting another strong weekend to widen his point lead and solidify his credentials in the ESBK Talent class.
