Ola Electric Mobility is ready to begin deliveries of its highly anticipated motorcycles by late March or early April, as confirmed by Chief Financial Officer Harish Abichandani. With an aggressive push to expand its product lineup and distribution reach, the company is poised for significant market growth in the coming months.

Market Growth and Expansion Plans

Ola Electric reported a 28% market share in February, with expectations of continued growth through March and beyond. The company believes that expanding its distribution network and improving product availability will naturally drive further market share gains.

“We are focused on scaling our reach. As distribution improves, market share growth will follow,” Abichandani stated.

Ola Electric is ready to launch its motorcycles by April, expand its market reach, and accelerate profitability with major cost savings.

Operational Efficiency and Cost Savings

Ola Electric has successfully implemented a network transformation and OpEx reduction program, leading to monthly cost savings of Rs 90 crore (approx. RM45,787,500). These cost-cutting measures will fully impact operations by April 2025. Additionally, the company has streamlined its vehicle inventory management. It has reduced stock duration from 35 days to 20 days. Apart from that it has also significantly cut down customer delivery times from 12 days to just 3-4 days.

We can expect further improvements in efficiency as Ola Electric continues optimizing its distribution and supply chain operations.

Profitability on the Horizon

Ola Electric had originally linked its EBITDA break-even point to achieving 50,000 monthly deliveries. However, stronger-than-expected cost reductions could accelerate profitability.

“We have outperformed our initial cost-saving targets, and profitability could be achieved sooner than anticipated,” says Abichandani.

The company is aiming for profitability by Q1 FY26 (April-June 2025). It maintains confidence in its ability to deliver on financial goals within the projected timeline.

The Future of Ola Electric

With more products on the way, a growing market share, and a solid plan for profitability, Ola Electric is making big moves in the electric vehicle space. As it gets ready to roll out its motorcycles and fine-tune its operations, we can expect the company to shape the future of electric transportation.
