Southeast Asia’s Leading Used Motorcycle E-Commerce Platform iMotorbike recently hosted its inaugural company offsite in Langkawi from January 6 to 8, 2025. The event was a celebration of the company’s remarkable achievements in 2024 and an opportunity to gear up for an even more ambitious 2025.
Held at the luxurious Pelangi Beach Resort & Spa, Langkawi, the offsite brought together 64 iMotorbike staff, including inspectors from inspection centres nationwide and team members from the Vietnam office.
The three-day event featured a variety of activities aimed at fostering team spirit and collaboration. Among the highlights were team-building games, such as an Amazing Race-style challenge and a Telematch, held within the scenic resort premises. Staff were divided into seven mixed-department groups, encouraging interaction and camaraderie among colleagues from different functions.
In addition to the fun and games, the offsite included a productive meeting session where heads of departments presented their roles and responsibilities. This session allowed team members to gain a deeper understanding of how various departments contribute to the company’s success.
The second evening of the offsite saw the much-anticipated “iMotorbike Groove Night,” where staff dressed as their favourite musical icons. The night featured a talent show, with employees showcasing their skills both individually and in groups. The event culminated in a prize-giving ceremony and a lucky draw, adding an extra layer of excitement to the evening.
Gil Carmo, Founder of iMotorbike, expressed his enthusiasm for the event, saying, “This offsite marks the first ever of our entire history, also the first of many more to come. It’s a fantastic opportunity for our team to connect outside the workplace, bond and build stronger relationships beyond work-related interactions.”
Meanwhile, Sharmeen Looi, Co-founder and CMO of iMotorbike, who spearheaded the planning of the event, shared her thoughts: “Our goal for this offsite was to create an environment where every individual feels valued and inspired, while also strengthening the bond between teams. It’s through these shared moments and experiences that we foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and trust. I am incredibly proud of how the team came together to make this event a success.”
Organized by the Marketing department, the 3-day, 2-night retreat was a resounding success, providing iMotorbike staff with unforgettable memories and reinforcing a sense of community within the company. With such a promising start to the year, iMotorbike is poised to achieve even greater heights in 2025.
