The competition among Chinese motorcycle manufacturers is heating up as they strive to dominate the global bike industry.

Recently, CFMoto’s unveiling of the 3-cylinder 675SR-R has generated significant buzz among motorcycle enthusiasts worldwide. Now, QJ Motor is making waves with its promise to rival leading brands in the touring and adventure segments with the introduction of the new SRT 550 X.

The SRT 550 X adventure bike is based on the SRK 550 Street Naked and shares many similarities with the Benelli TRK 552X. The design of the SRT 550 X is purposeful and well-thought-out, featuring components such as dedicated shield headlights that integrate neatly with the visor.

QJ Motor Heats Up Adventure Bike Market with New SRT 550 X

The SRT 550 X boasts a range of features, including 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels, USD forks, a rear monoshock, optional spoke wheels, and a split seat setup. Additional elements like LED lighting, knuckle guards, a bash plate, crash protection, and luggage mounts further enhance its appeal.

It also features dual front disc brakes with Brembo callipers. However, it remains unclear which of these features comes standard.

The adventure bike is powered by a 554cc, liquid-cooled twin-cylinder engine, the SRT 550 X, which delivers 61 hp. The engine pairs with a 6-speed gearbox.

This approach of adapting sport and naked bikes into adventure and touring models is a common strategy among manufacturers, proven successful by models like the Honda NX500 (based on the CB500), Yamaha Tenere 700 (based on the MT-07), and Kawasaki Versys 650 (based on the Ninja 650).

QJ Motor will need to price the SRT 550 X competitively to make an impact. Aimed primarily at the European market with potential expansion to Asia, it faces stiff competition from the Honda NX500 and its own cousin, the Benelli TRK 552X, which debuted a few months ago.
