He clinched the 85cc title at the 2024 Junior Motocross World Championship in Heerde, The Netherlands. Townley’s performance was exceptional, despite challenging conditions.

Drawing on race craft from his father, former MX2 World Champion Ben Townley, Levi executed perfectly. On lap five, he capitalized on an error by Ernecker. He surged into the lead and maintained his dominance. Townley finished the race with a 4.5-second lead over Frenchman Sleny Goyer.

A small mistake and a tip-over on the final lap saw him drop back. Despite this, Townley quickly remounted. He powered his YZ85 to a third-place finish, securing the overall championship.
