KMSB Motors and Suzuki Motor Corporation of Japan achieved this milestone through a recent technical collaboration and supply agreement.
Under this agreement, Suzuki has committed to supply essential components to enable KMSB to develop the AFAZ motorcycle.
This initiative signifies a pivotal moment in propelling Malaysia’s two-wheeler automotive sector, which sold around 718,000 motorcycles in 2022.
Beyond commerce, it directly enhances local expertise, fuels industry growth, creates jobs, and fosters high-tech industrial programs, advancing Malaysia’s development.
KMSB’s Chairman, Ahmad Faez Yahaya, and SMC’s President, Toshihiro Suzuki, signed the agreement, witnessed by Malaysia’s Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
Datuk Seri Isham Ishak, Secretary-General of MITI, and Datuk Wira Arham Abdul Rahman, MIDA’s CEO, also attended the signing ceremony.
KMSB further emphasized that this collaboration perfectly aligns with the Prime Minister’s announcement of Malaysia’s New Industrial Master Plan 2030.

With 20 RDMI professionals, AFAZ can captivate local and global motorcycle enthusiasts by integrating contemporary aesthetics into their designs.
Furthermore, their engineering activities prioritize compliance with the latest international UNECE (WP.29) regulations.
