TVS Motor Company is now gearing for its newest launch in India on September 16, 2021. The company has yet to reveal the name of the bike but several sources have claimed that it might be christened as Fiero 125, Raider or Retron.

The Indian manufacturer had released four teaser videos ahead of the launch, prompting excitement from fans. The bike appears to be a 125cc motorcycle that will be slot above the Radeon in the brand’s domestic lineup. Despite scarce information of its name, the manufacturer has stressed the R-word thus we may eliminate ‘Fiero’ off the list. The motorcycle is likely to be a rival for the Bajaj Pulsar 125 and the new Hero Glamour Xtec. Thus far, ‘Raider’ seems to be the strongest link here.

TVS Raider- Teaser

TVS does not have any 125cc bikes offered in India but the company have decided to put the initiative to use. With the increase in prices for motorcycles, many have opted for more affordable and fuel-economical bikes such as the 125cc bikes.

The new motorcycle will be getting a fully digital instrument panel. The headlamp cluster comes with a unique design with an LED setup with LED DRLs. The taillamp is also an LED unit as well. The turn indicators however seem to be halogen-based.

Other details include a wide handlebar set up with a central clamp engraved with the TVS wording. What we can see is the base of the bike comes in vibrant colour with glossy black fuel tank extensions. It also has 3D TVS prancing horse logo and grey panels, single-piece grab rail, Fi stickering, split seats and sculpted side panels and fuel tank.  TVS has also equipped the bike with a single-channel ABS system, alloy wheels and keyhole at the back.

The ‘TVS Raider 125’ would feature a 125 cc fuel-injected single-cylinder engine that is capable of producing around 11-12 PS maximum power and possibly 11 Nm of peak torque. It is paired with a five-speed transmission.
