Maverick Viñales makes his Aprilia debut at the Aragon GP

Maverick Viñales will debut for Aprilia at the Aragon GP. The rider, who tests this week at Misano riding for the first time in RS-GP, will thus be back in action after missing out on the last two rounds of the MotoGP World Championship; following his split with Monster Energy Yamaha.

This Wednesday, Aprilia confirmed that Viñales will compete in their bike from September 10th to 12th at MotorLand Aragón, alongside Aleix Espargaró.  Thus, he replaces Lorenzo Savadori sooner than expected. However, Savadori will not leave the structure. The Italian will use the wildcards that Aprilia has available for the rest of 2021 when he is recovered from the injury sustained at the Styrian GP, ​​remaining as a test rider in 2022.
