The official distributor of the Vespa brand, Didi Resources Sdn Bhd just launched the 150cc Vespa Primavera Red Edition today. Founded in 2006, Product Red is a licensed brand by Red which aims to engage in raising awareness and funds to help eliminate HIV/ AIDS,  Tuberculosis and Malaria. (RED) has contributed more than 500 million USD in funds which made an impact on over 110 million people through its prevention and treatment activities and consultancy-support services with particular focus on countries where HIV is passed from mother to child. With Vespa joining Red, the collaboration focuses on children programme. Other than this, Piaggio Group has also contributed to bringing (RED) and support for the Global Fund to India which has been affected most by the problem.

Vespa Primavera Red Special Edition

The product to come out of this collaboration is the (Vespa Primavera) Red special edition. Painted in red and the die-cast aluminium alloy rims wrapped around in red livery; the unique Vespa Primavera Red is immediately recognisable.

Additionally, the iconic Vespa (RED) logo further contrasts the theme and purpose of the bike.  Aside from this, the (Vespa Primavera) Red comes with nubuck leather borrowed from the Vespa 946, which further enhances the aesthetics and exclusivity of Vespa’s (RED) product.

The (Vespa Primavera) Red is powered by a 154.8cc i-get single-cylinder 4-stroke engine. Mated to CVT with torque server; the Vespa Primavera Red pushes 12.6 hp at 7,750 rpm and a peak torque of 12.8Nm at 6,500 rpm.  Suspension duties are done by single-arm with helical spring and single double-acting hydraulic shock absorber at the front and double-acting shock absorber (with adjustable preloading) at the rear.

In the case of braking, hydraulically operated 200 mm stainless steel disc brake upfront and mechanically operated 140 mm drum brake at the rear takes care of the business.

Vespa Primavera Red Special Edition Price

The (Vespa Primavera) Red is available from RM 19,500 in Malaysia. With the purchase of  Primavera Red, buyers also get an exclusive (Vespa Primavera) Red helmet. When you purchase Vespa’s Primavera Red special edition; $100 will be donated to the Global Fund to fight against AIDS by providing 500 days of life-saving HIV-AIDS medication.
