Boon Siew Honda Sdn Bhd unveiled the Honda CBR250RR Race Support Programme for Malaysia yesterday. Now you can buy race-ready Honda CBR250RR and take part in 2021 MSBK250 class for just RM 30,000!

To uplift the motorcycle racing scene in Malaysia, Boon Siew Honda Sdn Bhd unveiled their new Boon Siew Honda 250cc Racing Support Programme yesterday. With the new programme, Boon Siew Honda will offer a race-prepared Honda CBR250RR to take part in 2021 MSBK (Malaysia Superbike Championship) 250 subclass. Yes! Finally, a way to get your hands on the Honda CBR250RR in Malaysia!

Boon Siew Honda 250cc Racing Support Programme Pricing and Details

The best part? Prepared in line with the MSBK250 class regulations by Boon Siew Honda, the basic spec of the bike is valued at MYR 50,000. However, riders and teams who opt to purchase the packages need to pay only MYR 30,000!  BSH is actually offering this programme at a discounted price to capture the interest of riders and teams to take part in the 2021 MSBK250 class.

As mentioned earlier, Teams and riders who purchase this package will take part in a subcategory within the MSBK 250 class. Yes, you can’t ride the bike on the street (yet) but given the RM 30k pricetag, this track-spec baby RR is a very good buy! Also if you are wondering whether you can keep the bike after the MSBK 2021 season; Yes! the bike belongs to the buyer which means the buyer can take it to weekend tracks days later on.  The package is limited to only 10 units, for now, so if you are interested, hurry up!

BSH’s aim is to provide a pathway to amateur motorcycle racers to get into racing, therefore, to run the programme fair, the package will not be sold to riders from the satellite teams.

As for the specification of the bike, the race-ready Honda CBR250RR comes with standard liquid-cooled 249.7cc parallel-twin engine. Other than this, the race-ready Honda CBR250RR comes with other racing components such as racing exhaust, suspension setup, ECU, slicks and seat.

Yoshitaka Nakamura, Managing Director & CEO of Boon Siew Honda:

“The objective of the Boon Siew Honda 250cc Racing Support Programme is to uplift the sport of motorcycle racing in general. In the PETRONAS Malaysian Cub Prix Championship, we run a very successful grassroots mono-brand race, the Honda Dash 125 Challenge. This is our talent identification vehicle. In the Asia Road Racing Championship, Boon Siew Honda runs our own
factory team to develop the next batch of world-level Malaysian riders. Previously, there was a gap between the Cub Prix and ARRC. This programme in the MSBK is aimed at bridging it,” said Yoshitaka Nakamura, Managing Director & CEO of Boon Siew Honda.

“We hope to encourage new talents with this support programme, not just riders but also new teams interested to venture into the sport.”

Wondering about the road-going Honda CBR250RR for Malaysia?

Judging from the launch of the Honda CBR250RR  Racing Support Programme, we think BSH would most likely launch the roadgoing Honda CBR250RR next year. Don’t forget to follow us to find out the latest update on this!
