70% JPJ Saman Discount Extended Until 30th September 2020!

Earlier last month JPJ & SPAD offered a  70% discount on summonses for Merdeka month. The 70% discount on JPJ saman has been further extended until 30th September 2020!

70% JPJ Saman Discount

Earlier in August, SPAD and JPJ offered a 70% discount on summonses in conjunction with Merdeka month. Well, in case you missed the opportunity to make use of the 70% summon discount, here is a piece of good news. The 70% discount for JPJ saman has now been extended until the end of this month, 30th September 2020.  So what are you waiting for? Go ahead and make use of this discount!

September 2020 70% JPJ Saman Discount  Details

Here is how the payment for the saman with the 70% discount can be done. As announced earlier, payment for the saman can be done through UTC and JPJ branches nationwide. Don’t have time? you can alternatively make the payment online with the discount via JPJ Mobile, JPJ mySIKAP Portal or JPJ Kiosk.  For those who are blacklisted, they are required to visit any JPJ branch or state office for processing documentation prior to making the payment for the saman.

Earlier last month, the Road Transport Department (RTD) announced that they had collected RM 3.85 million in traffic summonses from August 1st – 15th 2020, so this could be the reason why RTD decided to extend the discount. Well, we are not complaining, it’s a very good thing!

Statement by RTD Earlier Last Month

“Selangor RTD has so far recorded the highest collection with RM620,157 from 8,165 summonses settled.”

“As we all know, those with unpaid summonses will be blacklisted and this will cause problems when conducting transactions with the department such as renewing driving and motor vehicle licences, transferring ownership and others.”

“The discount, which ends on Aug 31; is being offered in conjunction with the National Month, and in line with the National Day 2020 theme “Malaysia Prihatin.” – BERNAMA
