Spy shots taken in Europe show that KTM will present a new version, or updated version, of their 1090 Adventure. The updates will mainly be cosmetic and functional, although KTM might retouch the twin-cylinder engine with more power and torque.
The fuel tank is borrowed of the upcoming 790 Adventure R, and not only helps the rider in terms of comfort and bike control, but it will also help KTM to enhance the handling characteristics of the 1090 Adventure, by lowering the center of gravity.
Design will also show new elements for 2019, especially at the front. KTM is testing different parts before the unveiling of the bike at EICMA Milan, and the focus seems to be placed on channeling the wind so that the 1090 Adventure feels more stable.
And last but not least, we expect KTM brings the full color TFT screen used on the big 1290 Adventure models, to the refreshed 1090.
