Check out the three upgraded KTM SX-F models from the 2019 lineup

The 2019 KTM SX-F lineup of Supercross and Motorcross racing four-stroke motorcycles has been unveiled and indeed, the changes make us ecstatic! The 450 SX-F, 350 SX-F, and 250 SX-F share many common changes, along with some model specific changes.

The new 450 SX-F comes with a SOHC cylinder head which is much lighter and more compact. It is mated to a five-speed transmission though the gear ratios remain unchanged. It also has a new cam with shorter valve timing thus improving the surface for faster throttle response. There is also a DLC coating on chain guide to increase reliability.

As for the 350 SX-F, the cylinder head is now much lighter as it lost seven ounces. It also is equipped with a new diaphragm steel clutch with Brembo hydraulics. It is mated to the new Pankl Racing Systems five-speed transmission.

The 250 SX-F on the other hand, the new exhaust cam is installed to increase performance. It is also equipped with a new new diaphragm steel clutch with Brembo hydraulics and new Pankl Racing Systems five-speed transmission.

All three bikes overall had multiple upgrades for its specifications but what is common to all the bikes is a stiffer frame and triple clamp to cater for more straight line stability and an updated suspension settings to enhance the stiffer frame. The WP shock gets redesigned main piston, they also come along with a longer subframe to support the rear fender. All bikes also have a longer axle slot in the swingarm to extend wheelbase for more stability, a new airbox has intake snorkels to increase airflow while directing dirt from the filter, new Flow Design Header resonator system and the new muffler design allows servicing without removing the rear shock; shock access also improved.

Traction control and launch control settings were revised for increased traction. The new fuel tank with a 1.85-gallon capacity is accompanied with an improved internal hose routing to enhance reliability. Not to mention, the lighter lithium-ion battery comes with additional starting power.
