Malaysia’s modern classic segment is about to get tougher as Didi Group confirms the arrival of the Triumph Scrambler 400 XC this March. First unveiled globally last year, the 2026 model will retail at RM34,200, excluding road tax, insurance, and registration. Bookings are now officially open.
The Scrambler 400 XC strengthens Triumph’s entry-level modern classic family in Malaysia, joining the Triumph Scrambler 400 X (RM29,900) and Triumph Speed 400 (RM26,900). While the 400 X is already known for light off-road versatility, the XC variant brings a more rugged character aimed at riders who want extra attitude and presence alongside everyday usability.
Powering the Scrambler 400 XC is Triumph’s TR-series 400cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine with four valves. It produces 39.5 hp at 8,000 rpm and 37.5 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. Comes in a six-speed gearbox equipped with a slip-and-assist clutch.

Suspension duties are handled by 43 mm upside-down front forks (non-adjustable) and a preload-adjustable rear monoshock with remote gas reservoir. The bike carries a seat height of 835 mm, a kerb weight of 186 kg, and a 13-litre fuel tank, giving it proportions suited for both city riding and weekend adventures.
Braking performance comes from a 320 mm front disc gripped by a four-piston radial caliper, paired with a 230 mm rear disc and single-piston caliper. Dual-channel ABS is standard, ensuring controlled stopping on varying surfaces.

The cockpit blends classic and modern elements, featuring a large analogue speedometer combined with an integrated LCD display showing digital rev counter, gear position, and fuel range. Riders also get a USB-C charging port, making the Scrambler 400 XC ready for daily commuting and longer rides alike.
Buyers can choose from three colour options: Racing Yellow, Storm Grey, and Vanilla White. With its mix of heritage styling, approachable performance, and adventure-ready stance, the Scrambler 400 XC looks set to attract riders wanting a compact machine with big-bike scrambler vibes.
