Modenas has officially entered the Malaysian electric scooter segment with the launch of the MEV-1 Pro and MEV-2. Unveiled at the recent Malaysia Autoshow 2025, the electric scooter is priced at RM13,470 and RM9,878, respectively (Prices do not include road tax, insurance, and registration).

MEV-1 Pro: High-Spec Electric Commuter

The MEV-1 Pro is the more premium offering, delivering 6.6 hp and a hefty 258 Nm of torque, allowing for a top cruising speed of 85 km/h with a maximum range of 135 km. Power is supplied by two ATL lithium batteries (60V 45Ah), each requiring 3.5 hours to fully charge.

Buyers can choose between two versions of the MEV-1 Pro: a single-seater and a two-seater variant called the MEV-1 Pro SX.

MEV-2: Lightweight and Efficient

Targeted at shorter commutes, the MEV-2 is a lighter and more affordable option, offering 5.4 hp, a top speed of 80 km/h, and a range of 70 km. It also features a dual ATL battery setup (74V 30Ah), with similar 3.5-hour charge times per battery.

Shared Features

Both electric scooters come equipped with:

  • 16-inch front and 14-inch rear wheels
  • Telescopic front fork and rear monoshock
  • Combined Braking System (CBS) with twin hydraulic disc brakes
  • Full LED lighting, LCD instrument panel, and a USB charging port

Weighing 145 kg for the MEV-1 Pro and 110 kg for the MEV-2, both scooters are designed with urban usability in mind, combining everyday practicality with zero-emission mobility.

With their competitive pricing and solid specs, Modenas is positioning the MEV-1 Pro and MEV-2 as compelling new options for eco-conscious Malaysian commuters.
