Making its Malaysian debut at the Malaysia Autoshow 2025 is the 2025 Honda CB1000 SP, a premium naked sports motorcycle priced at RM69,999. Offered in a single Matte Ballistic Black Metallic colour scheme with gold wheels, the CB1000 SP combines aggressive styling with high-performance components drawn from Honda’s superbike pedigree.

Powering the CB1000 SP is a detuned version of the inline four-cylinder engine from the Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade, delivering 155 hp at 11,000 rpm and 107 Nm of torque at 9,000 rpm. While the Fireblade produces 214 hp, the CB1000 SP offers a more road-focused performance curve.

The ‘SP’ designation signifies upgraded equipment, starting with fully adjustable Showa SFF-BP 41 mm front forks and an Öhlins TTX36 fully adjustable monoshock at the rear. Braking duties are handled by Brembo Stylema four-piston front callipers on 310 mm floating discs, while the rear features a Nissin calliper with a 240 mm disc.

Built around a twin-spar steel frame with a Honda Pro-Link cast alloy swingarm, the CB1000 SP is designed for sporty dynamics. It comes equipped with a six-speed gearbox with revised ratios, an assist and slipper clutch, and a bidirectional quickshifter. Riders can choose from five riding modes: Rain, Standard, Sport, and two user-customisable settings, with adjustable power delivery and engine braking.

A 5-inch TFT-LCD display with Honda Roadsync allows smartphone connectivity, and the electronics package includes four-level Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) and Wheelie Control. With a seat height of 809 mm, 212 kg kerb weight, and 17-litre fuel capacity, the CB1000 SP rolls on 17-inch wheels with 120/70 (front) and 180/55 (rear) tyres.

The CB1000 SP Hornet is now on display at the Malaysia Autoshow 2025 and is expected to attract riders looking for a high-spec naked bike with strong Fireblade lineage.
