Honda CBR250RR SP will be officially launched in Malaysia this week, on the 18th of December 2020.

Honda CBR250RR SP Malaysia Launch

Back in September, Boon Siew Honda launched the Honda CBR250RR Race Support Programme for the Malaysian market. Following the launch of the Honda CBR250RR Race Support Programme, we started hearing rumours about the road-going Honda CBR 250RR and the Honda ADV 150 coming to Malaysia.

Honda CBR250RR SP is now open for pre-booking in Malaysia!

A month later, in October 2020, Big Wing Setepak opened up booking for the Honda CBR 250RR SP which confirmed the arrival of the model. To get more details, we got in touch with a few sources and was told that the Honda CBR 250RR SP would be officially launched around December this year, 2020 and the model wouldn’t be priced over the MYR 30,000 mark.

The latest Official Launch Details

Since then the Honda CBR 250RR SP has been building a lot of anticipation among motorcycle fans and riders in Malaysia. Well folks, here is the good news! The Honda CBR250RR will be officially launched in Malaysia this Friday, on the 18th of December 2020.

How do we know this? Honda Motorcycle Malaysia put up a teaser launch post on their Facebook page just a while and from the silhouette, we can confirm it’s the CBR250RR that’s coming to town!


To validate, we also got in touch with a few sources and we were informed that it’s the CBR250RR SP that’s due for launch this week.

Honda CBR250RR SP for Malaysia!

Here is something to note; the Honda CBR 250RR that we will be getting in Malaysia is the highest spec SP variant. The model comes equpieed with assist & slipper clutch, quick shifter, ride by wire and 3 riding modes. Featuring a 249 cc parallel-twin, 8-valve, DOHC, liquid-cooled engine, mated to a 6-speed gearbox, the CBR250RR SP pushes 41.57 hp @ 13,000 rpm and a peak torque of 25 Nm @ 11,000 rpm.
