Aprilia Tuareg Racing enjoyed a positive day during Stage Eight of the 2026 Africa Eco Race. The stage covered 490 kilometres and started and finished in Aidzidine. Riders faced a tough route that included canyon crossings, rocky ground, and long sections of sand and dunes.

Jacopo Cerutti delivered a strong performance on the Aprilia Tuareg Rally. He finished second in the +650 twin-cylinder class after a demanding special stage. Starting from the back of the field, Cerutti rode most of the stage alone. He managed his pace carefully through the changing terrain.

The stage featured a large amount of soft sand. Cerutti was briefly delayed after getting stuck once but recovered quickly and continued without major issues. He also faced a technical problem when his navigation instrument shut down around the 70-kilometre mark. Despite this, he relied on mileage reference and experience to stay on course and maintain a competitive pace.

Marco Menichini finished seventh in the +650 class. The stage served as an adjustment day as he continued to adapt to the conditions. Francesco Montanari was less fortunate and was forced to withdraw from the stage after getting stuck in a dune.

With another stage completed, Aprilia Tuareg Racing continues to show strong pace in the 2026 Africa Eco Race. The result highlights the performance and reliability of the Aprilia Tuareg Rally in demanding rally-raid conditions.

After the stage, Jacopo Cerutti said:
“Today was very intense, with a lot of soft sand. I rode most of the stage alone and had a navigation issue, but overall I’m happy with the result and the bike’s performance.”
