Harley-Davidson intentions are pretty clear, with the iconic American manufacturer trying to find new ways to attract new riders to the H-D family. For years, Harley has seen their loyal customers base ageing, and things weren’t looking any better If they didn’t try something totally new.
That revolution started with the launch of the new 2019 models like the FXDR 114, which has been getting good reviews from riders all around the world and will continue when Harley-Davidson launches the all-electric LiveWire.
But that revolution will also try to solve the problem of getting new riders into Harley-Davidson.
With that in mind, the Milwaukee manufacturer has been working on new, small capacity, models, and our Japanese friends of Young Machine magazine just published a photo of what seems to be the new small-capacity Harley-Davidson aimed at the Asian markets: the Harley-Davidson XR250.
Although it’s still just a computer generated render, the bike seen here features so many well-detailed parts that it looks almost like the Japanese magazine has got their hands on some inside information that has led them to create this realistic photo of what will be the production version of this new motorcycle.
We expect the single cylinder engine to be a 250 cc unit and the bike is to be built by Indian partners TVS Motors.
Has Harley-Davidson finally found a way to attract younger riders to the H-D family?
