CFMoto Malaysia has officially launched the 2027 CFMoto 500SR, priced at RM29,988. The new sportbike was unveiled during the PETRONAS Grand Prix of Malaysia 2026 at the Sepang International Circuit.

Distributed locally by MForce Bike Holdings Sdn Bhd, the 500SR expands CFMoto’s sportbike lineup with a 500cc inline-four engine and a range of electronic features. The motorcycle is available through authorised CFMoto Malaysia dealers in two colour options, Galaxy Grey and Nebula White. It also comes with a two-year or 20,000km warranty against manufacturing defects.

Powering the 2027 CFMoto 500SR is a 500cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC inline-four engine producing 78.9hp at 12,500rpm and 49Nm of torque at 10,000rpm. With the Ram Air intake system activated, the engine’s output increases to 81hp.

The engine features Bosch electronic fuel injection, forged pistons and crankshaft, fracture-split connecting rods and an all-aluminium cylinder. Power is delivered to the rear wheel through a wet multi-plate slipper clutch, designed to provide smoother downshifts and better control during aggressive riding.

The 500SR uses a steel tubular frame supported by 41mm upside-down front forks and a multi-link rear shock absorber. Both the front and rear suspension systems are adjustable, offering 120mm of front wheel travel and 130mm at the rear.

For braking, the motorcycle is equipped with twin 300mm front discs paired with Nissin four-piston calipers that comes with factory air ducts for brake cooling, while the rear uses a 220mm disc.

Safety features include dual-channel ABS with a Supermoto mode that allows riders to deactivate the rear-wheel ABS. The motorcycle also gets two-level traction control with an Off function, an adjustable steering damper and an Emergency Stop Signal (ESS).

CFMoto 500SR

The CFMoto 500SR comes with 17-inch alloy wheels fitted with CST S3N tyres measuring 120/70 at the front and 160/60 at the rear. Other dimensions include a seat height of either 790mm or 795mm, depending on configuration, alongside a 15.5-litre fuel tank and a kerb weight of 192kg.

Riders get a 6.2-inch colour TFT display with MotoPlay connectivity, providing access to riding information and connected functions. Additional equipment includes an upshift-only quickshifter, five-level heated grips and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).

For charging, the motorcycle is equipped with USB Type-A and Type-C ports offering up to 18 watts of power. LED lighting is also used throughout the motorcycle.

With its inline-four engine, adjustable suspension and comprehensive electronic equipment, the 2027 CFMoto 500SR enters Malaysia’s middleweight sportbike segment that is already packed with top rivals like ZXMOTO, Kawasaki and Honda with price below RM30,000.
