Nicolò Bulega continued his remarkable 2026 FIM Superbike World Championship campaign by claiming his 29th victory of the season at Estoril, setting a new record for the most wins in a single WorldSBK season. Riding for Aruba.it Racing – Ducati, the Italian surpassed the previous benchmark set by teammate Álvaro Bautista in 2023, further cementing his place in World Superbike history.
The Estoril round proved to be another dominant performance from Bulega, who controlled the weekend from start to finish. His latest victory also helped Aruba.it Racing – Ducati secure its 29th one-two finish of the season, with teammate Iker Lecuona finishing second in all three races.

Bulega Rediscovers Winning Form
After experiencing difficulties during the previous round at Cremona, Bulega was pleased to regain the confidence and feeling he had been searching for aboard the Ducati Panigale V4 R.
The Italian rider looked comfortable throughout the weekend and was particularly satisfied with his performance in Race 2, where he once again demonstrated the pace that has made him the championship’s dominant force this season.
Speaking after the race, Bulega credited his team for helping him bounce back.
“I’m very happy with how things went this weekend. I’ve rediscovered the feel for the bike that I was missing in Cremona. I enjoyed Race 2, and I’d like to thank my team for their hard work, especially after the Superpole Race. Now we’re off to Jerez, which is one of my favourite tracks.”
With momentum firmly on his side, Bulega now heads to Jerez looking to continue his record-breaking season and further extend his championship advantage.

Lecuona Secures Another Podium Finish
While unable to match Bulega’s race-winning pace, Iker Lecuona enjoyed another consistent weekend by finishing second across all three races at Estoril.
The Spaniard admitted that the team lacked the performance needed to challenge for victory but remained encouraged by another strong points haul as they prepare for the next round.
Reflecting on the weekend, Lecuona acknowledged that improvements will be needed before arriving at Jerez.
“It was quite a tricky round. Our aim is always to fight for the win, but we didn’t manage it on this circuit. We’ll need to work out what we were missing compared to Cremona and work to get that same feeling back.”
Despite not standing on the top step of the podium, Lecuona’s consistency played a key role in another successful weekend for Aruba.it Racing – Ducati.

Another Historic Weekend for Aruba.it Racing – Ducati
Estoril once again highlighted Aruba.it Racing – Ducati’s strength in the 2026 WorldSBK season. Bulega’s record-breaking 29th victory, combined with Lecuona’s trio of second-place finishes, marked the team’s 29th one-two result of the campaign.
With the championship now moving to Circuito de Jerez, Aruba.it Racing – Ducati will be aiming to maintain its exceptional form as Bulega continues his pursuit of even more WorldSBK history.
