Valencia Confirmed as 2027 MotoGP Season Finale

The Circuit Ricardo Tormo will host the final round of the 2027 championship, with Thailand already confirmed as the season opener in March.

MotoGP has confirmed that the Valencia Grand Prix at Circuit Ricardo Tormo will close the 2027 MotoGP World Championship, ahead of the release of the full calendar on Friday, 25 September.

The 2027 season will therefore begin and end at two of MotoGP’s established venues, with the Thai Grand Prix at Buriram International Circuit already confirmed as the season opener from 5 to 7 March 2027. Valencia will then host the championship finale later in the year.

The Circuit Ricardo Tormo has become closely associated with MotoGP season finales since first joining the championship calendar. Its stadium-style layout allows spectators to see much of the circuit from the grandstands and has hosted numerous championship deciders and memorable races over the years.

The announcement also comes as Valencia prepares to host the 2026 MotoGP season finale, with MotoGP planning an expanded programme of activities across the city.

Fans will be able to experience MotoGP away from the circuit through activities at locations including the Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias and Marina Sur. The MotoGP Fan Fest will feature riders, entertainment and live music, while international DJ HUGEL will headline a “HUGEL & Friends” event at Marina Sur.

MotoGP Deputy CEO Carlos Ezpeleta said Valencia remains a fitting venue to conclude the championship: “There are few places that capture the spirit of a MotoGP season finale quite like Circuit Ricardo Tormo. The circuit, the city and the fans create a truly special atmosphere every year.”

President of the Valencia Government Juanfran Pérez Llorca also described the confirmation as positive news for the circuit and the wider Valencian Community. With the opening and closing venues now confirmed, MotoGP is set to reveal the complete 2027 World Championship calendar on Friday, 25 September at 12:00.
