Malaysian Racer Hakim Danish Ramli Heads to Spain Early for 2025 JuniorGP and Red Bull Rookies Cup Preparations.

Terengganu-born national racer Hakim Danish Ramli departed early (Yesterday 24th March) for Spain to prepare for two official tests ahead of the 2025 JuniorGP World Championship and Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup (RBMRC). This development means the 17-year-old will once again celebrate Aidilfitri away from home in Europe.

One of the reasons for his early departure is to undergo a week-long preparation in Tarragona, Spain, before the official tests. The JuniorGP test is scheduled for April 2-3 in Almeria, while the RBMRC test will take place in Aragon on April 4-5.

In an interview with ZK Racing, Hakim Danish expressed excitement about the trip, though he admitted this journey would be without his usual Malaysian crew.

“I’ve won in Aragon before, so I hope everything goes smoothly,” said Hakim Danish. “This season, I won’t have my ZK Racing mechanics or crew from Malaysia with me, but I’ll be assisted by a new Spanish crew member, Mark. I haven’t met him yet, so I hope everything works out well.”

Notably, Hakim Danish made headlines last season by winning Race 2 at the Aragon circuit in the MotoGP Rookies Cup campaign.

Well this year, the young national racer Hakim Danish Ramli will not be accompanied by the ZK Racing crew from Malaysia during his European campaign.

SIC Racing manager Zulfahmi Khairuddin confirmed that the decision for Hakim Danish to go solo was due to unavoidable financial constraints this year.

“For everyone’s knowledge, this year, no crew or mechanics from Malaysia will accompany Hakim Danish in Europe. Everything will be handled by our existing team crew there,” said Zulfahmi. “This year’s planning is different due to certain reasons, one of which is financial limitations.”

Zulfahmi explained that the decision was necessary to sustain the racing program for the Malaysian rider competing in the JuniorGP World Championship and RBMRC. “Hakim Danish left early to prepare, but I will be in Almeria and Aragon during the official tests,” he added. “The reason we sent him early is to ensure he gets proper preparation before the tests. I will also join him during the races later.”

The 2025 JuniorGP season is set to kick off at the Estoril Circuit in Portugal on May 4, while the Jerez Circuit will host the opening round of the new RBMRC season on April 27.
